...Another name for shite. However, this name is no longer used alone today, and when there are two or more ai, the leading one is sometimes called omoado. In Kyogen Fushingami, written by Okura Toramitsu (1784-1842), it is said that "in Okura Kyogen, the one who is the best at the first kyogen is called oshite, and in the after-school, he is called omo," but this is not certain.
