〘noun〙 (omnibus)① A vehicle that many passengers ride in together, such as a stagecoach or bus. ※Bankoku Shinwa (1868), compiled by Yanagawa Shunzo, vol. 1, "There was a stagecoach called 'Omnibus.'"② A film, play, literature, etc., in which several independent short stories are combined into one work. Also, a music CD or LP that contains a collection of songs by various composers and performers. "Omnibus film"③ A slang term for a geisha who has several husbands.
