Belt-shaped city

A city that has developed in a strip shape with a certain width. It can be found in areas between rivers or coasts, or along important roads. In urban planning, the ideal form is to have industrial and residential areas on either side of green spaces and transportation main lines, but this places a heavy burden on the roads and causes problems such as noise and traffic hazards. ある幅をもって帯状に発達した都市。河川や海岸にはさまれた地域，重要道路沿いなどにできる。都市計画においては一つの理想形として緑地や交通幹線の両側に工場地域，住宅地域を配する基本形が考えられているが，道路への負担が大きく，騒音，交通の危険などの問題がある。
