In the educational world, the Oberlin Conservatory was founded in 1965, and the National Conservatory in 1985, both of which invited Dvorak to study at the institution. Dvorak's visit to the United States stimulated interest in Indian and Negro folk music, and the trend of nationalistic composition continued until around 1920.
