Born on March 9, 1869. Worked as an English teacher in Fukushima, Ehime, Mie and other prefectures. His exam reference book "English Interpretation" published in 1921 became a best-seller, selling over 1.5 million copies. He subsequently published many exam reference books, such as "English Vocabulary Research Method," and was fondly known as "Ono Kei." Died on November 11, 1952. Age 83.
