A famous mountain that straddles Hampeon County, South Gyeongsang Province, and Seongju County, North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. It is 1,430 meters above sea level. It is covered with trees, has a beautiful mountain body, and is lined with strange peaks and rock formations. It is also home to many spectacular views such as Hwanggye Falls, Hongryudong Valley, and Yongmun Falls, which are woven by clear streams, and has been designated a national park. At the southern foot of the mountain is the famous Haeinsa Temple, which is always crowded with tourists and worshippers. Haeinsa Temple houses the Tripitaka Koreana, which was engraved during the Goryeo Dynasty. Camellias grow in clusters nearby, and traditional Korean paper is made in the Haeinsa Valley.
