Extrusion - Oshida Seikei

It is primarily used in the molding and processing of thermoplastic resins; the resin is plasticized (heated and melted) in an extruder, made fluid, and extruded through a die to create a molded product; this is the main method for manufacturing plastic products. By changing the shape of the die, it is possible to manufacture pipes, rods, sheets, films, fibers, coated electric wires, etc. In addition, by rotating the die, it is possible to manufacture mesh-shaped products (such as mesh bags containing mandarin oranges), and by devising a way to collect the extruded material, it is possible to manufacture accordion-shaped pipes (such as washing machine drain hoses).

おもに熱可塑性樹脂の成形加工に用いられており，樹脂を押出機(extruder)中で可塑化(加熱融解)し，流動状態にして，口金(ダイ)から押し出して成形品をつくる方法で，プラスチック製品のおもな製造法である．口金の形状を変えることにより，パイプ，棒，シート，フィルム，繊維，被覆電線などが製造できる．また，口金部分を回転させて網状製品(みかんを入れた網袋など)の製造や，押し出し物の引き取り方法を工夫することにより，ジャバラ状の管(洗濯機の排水ホースなど)が製造できる．
