The title of a jiuta koto piece. It is a Kyoto-style tegotomono (traditional Japanese tune) composed by Yaezaki Kengyo on koto to a sangen piece composed by Ishikawa Koto of Kyoto. The lyrics are five waka poems from the Hyakunin Isshu that contain the word "Koromo" (clothes), namely, Emperor Koko (Kokin Wakashu), Empress Jito (Shin Kokin Wakashu), Sangi Gakyo (same), Emperor Tenchi (Gosen Wakashu), and Gokyogoku Sessho Former Daijo Daijin (Shin Kokin Wakashu), arranged in the order of the four seasons. It is said that this piece was originally too difficult for the composer himself to play well, but after Miyahara Kengyo of Kyushu generously let Yaezaki take on the koto, it became popular. It is said that it is one of the "Ishikawa Mitsumono" (three Ishikawa pieces) along with Tooru and Aoyagi, and both are large pieces.
