Storehouse - Osame-dono
〘noun〙① A place to store valuables such as gold and silver, furnishings, and clothing. A storeroom. ※ Utsubo (around 970-999) Fujiwara no Kimi "Open the palace and bring out the finest fruits and dried vegetables."② A place in the Imperial Palace where imperial possessions for successive generations were stored. It was said to have been located inside Gyoden . [Kyugaku-Ichibun, 5th year of Shohei (935), July 29th] ※Genji (c. 1001-14), Kiritsubo: "Regarding the hakama (Japanese formal attire) 〈abbreviation〉The lord of the palace used up all his possessions and left him in a terrible state." ③ = The lord of the palace's care (the caretaker of the palace) ※Eika (c. 1028-92), Tsuru no Hayashi: "Under the care of the lord of the palace, five or six thousand pieces of shiny silk were left over, ten thousand pieces of silk as usual."
