Okunohira - Okunohira

...It is thought to have been formed by the Sojidake volcano and is surrounded by the upper reaches of the Kurobe River. It is also called Oku-no-daira, and on the map of the Kaga Domain's Okuyama Patrol it is called Onakahara. It has a great view, and there are flower fields and ponds scattered among the stone pines, lichens and mosses, as well as natural gardens named after places such as Japan, Switzerland, the Alps and Alaska, so it is a popular destination for hikers in the summer.
