Okuoi Prefectural Natural Park

Japanese: 奥大井県立自然公園 - おくおおいけんりつしぜんこうえん

This natural park is located in the mountainous area of the upper reaches of the Oi River and Abe River in central Shizuoka Prefecture. It covers an area of 85.31 ^km2 . It was designated in 1968, and partially delisted in 1976. It offers a diverse range of natural scenery, including the valleys of Sumatakyo and Sessokyo, the artificial lakes of Hatanagi and Ikawa, and the hot spring resorts of Umegashima, Akaishi, and Sumatakyo, with the magnificent Southern Alps in the background. Buses run from Shizuoka Station, and the Oigawa Railway runs from Kanaya Station to Ikawa.

静岡県中部，大井川および安倍川の上流域の山岳地域の自然公園。面積 85.31km²。 1968年指定，76年に一部解除した。寸又峡，接阻峡の各渓谷，畑薙，井川の各人工湖，雄大な南アルプスを背景とした梅ヶ島，赤石，寸又峡の各温泉郷があり，多彩な自然景観を展開。静岡駅からバス，金谷駅から井川まで大井川鉄道が走る。
