Chills and shivers

Japanese: 悪寒戦慄 - おかんせんりつ
Chills and shivers

…It is an unpleasant chill felt at the beginning of a fever. The face turns pale and is often accompanied by involuntary trembling of the skeletal muscles (this is called shivering chills). When exogenous pyrogens enter the body due to infection, they act on white blood cells and other organs to produce and release endogenous pyrogens, which specifically stimulate the hypothalamus in the brain, where the thermoregulatory center is located, via the bloodstream.
