Ominato Tanabushi City

...A city located in the neck of the Shimokita Peninsula in the northeastern part of Aomori Prefecture. In 1959, the towns of Tanabu and Ominato merged to form a city, which was called Ominato Tanabu City, but changed its name to its current name the following year. Population: 48,883 (1995).
