…Sansha was appointed as the administrator, and in 1612 (Keicho 17), Sansha and Sokei were given a stipend of 50 koku. In 1604 (Kan'ei 11), the Ohashi family was succeeded by Sokei's eldest son, Soko, but Soko's younger brother, Soyo, branched off, and Sokei's pupil, Ito Sokan (later the 3rd Meijin), became Soko's son-in-law and founded the new Ito family. In 1602, the Ohashi and Ito families were given a stipend of 20 koku, and the Iemoto system was established with these three hereditary families. …
