A Nietzsche term. For Nietzsche, who preached that "God is dead," the death of God was not simply an overcoming of Christianity, but also a declaration of nihilism. According to Nietzsche, the essence of life is the "will to power," and the will to power interprets the world in a way that is necessary to sustain itself. Christianity is a fictional interpretation of the world created by the weak. The superior strong see themselves as good and the weak as inferior, but the herd-like weak reverse this value system, defining the dominant strong as evil and elevating themselves to the standard, thereby justifying themselves.
