...Large works such as the Altar of Klosterneuburg (now in the Museum of Fine Arts, Le Mans) were produced. In the Mosin region, Godefroy de Claire (?-1173) and Nicolas de Verdun were active. Nicolas de Verdun's Altar of Klosterneuburg (1181), consisting of 51 panels, is particularly famous.
