In the alpine grasslands of Hokkaido, a variety called Ezooyamanopea var. sericea Koidz., which has somewhat long white soft hairs on the stems and leaves, grows wild. A unique species, Rebunsou (Rebun grass) , O. megalantha H. Boiss., grows on Rebun Island, Hokkaido. ...
