Of these, full section excavation refers to a method in which the completed section (full section) of the tunnel is excavated in one go, while the others involve dividing the full section into sections such as bottom-set pilot tunnel, upper half section, oze (lower central section), and dobera (side wall section), which are excavated in sequence (a to d in the figure). 　山岳トンネル工法とは，地質は岩または洪積層の土を前提として，底設導坑先進上部半断面工法や側壁導坑先進工法，ベンチ工法(上部半断面先進工法)，全断面掘削工法などの掘削方式を用いるものである。これらのうち全断面掘削とは，トンネルの完成断面(全断面)を一度に掘削してしまう方式をいい，その他は全断面を底設導坑，上部半断面部分，大背（おおぜ）(下半中央部)，土平（どべら）(側壁部分)などの部分に分けて順次掘削していくものである(図のa～d)。地質が良好な場合には全断面掘削とし，地質に応じて部分掘削方式であるベンチ工法や導坑先進工法が選択される。…
