A town in Kodama County, in the northwest of Saitama Prefecture. It is located south of the confluence of the Kanna River and Tone River, with the Kanna River flowing along the western edge of the town and the Tone River flowing along the northern edge. The town is involved in sericulture, greenhouse horticulture, and livestock farming. National Route 17 and the Takasaki Line run through the northern part of the town from east to west, and Jinbohara Station is located there. Area: 29.18 km2 . Population: 30,998 (2010).
