Fan banana (Ogibasho) - Ogibasho

…It is an evergreen medium-sized tree of the Musaceae family, the genus Ravenala , of which one species is endemic to Madagascar (illustration). It has an upright woody stem that is as tall as 20 m, a thick trunk, and two rows of beautifully fan-like leaves with leaf blades about 2.5 m long and long petioles that resemble bananas.
