...Other disciples of Yatsuhashi who are not of the blind official lineage include, in addition to Kitajima mentioned above, Sumiyama Kengyo, the founder of the Sumiyama school (who has Tsugiyama Kengyo, the founder of the Tsugiyama school under his disciple), Shirooi Zatō, said to be the founder of the Osaka Yatsuhashi school, and Yoshibe Zatō, said to be the founder of the tradition of Okinawan koto music. Yatsuhashi's works are famous for the so-called Yatsuhashi Thirteen Groups starting with "Fuki," and among them, "Shiki no Kyoku," "Ogi no Kyoku," and "Kumo no Kyoku" are particularly highly valued as the inner "three songs." Other works include the attached piece "Kumo no Rosai," and the secret piece "Koryu Shiki Genji," and it is also believed that Yatsuhashi developed the instrumental pieces "Sugagaki" and "Rinzetsu" to create the current "Rokudan" and "Ran." *Some of the terminology that refers to "Fan Curve" is listed below.
