Eisankou

This river flows through the southwestern tip of Korea and into the archipelago of the Naju Islands. It is 116 km long and has a drainage area of ​​2,800 square km. It starts near Damyang in the Noryeong Mountains and joins many tributaries, such as Gwangjucheon, Hwangyongcheon, Seokcheon, and Geumcheon, to form the fertile and wide Naju Plain. However, the downstream area is often flooded and inundated. It can be transported by boat 48 km inland from the inlet to Yeongsanpo. In 1981, Yeongsanpo and Naju, the centers of the basin, were merged to form Geumseong City.

韓国（大韓民国）南西端を経て羅州(らしゅう／ナジュ)群島のある多島海に流れ込む川。長さ116キロメートル、流域面積2800平方キロメートル。蘆嶺(ろれい／ノリョン)山脈の潭陽(たんよう／ダムヤン)付近から流れ出し、光州川、黄竜川、砥石(しせき)川、錦川など、数多くの支流をあわせ、流域に肥沃(ひよく)で広い羅州平野を繰り広げている。ただ下流部は洪水の際、氾濫(はんらん)、浸水など水害が少なくない。舟運は入り江から48キロメートル、内陸の栄山浦(えいさんほ／ヨンサンポ)まで至る。なお1981年には流域の中心地、栄山浦と羅州が合併し、錦城(きんじょう／クムソン)市に昇格した。
