Japanese: カボシュ一揆 - カボシュいっき

A popular uprising that occurred in Paris in 1413 toward the end of the Hundred Years' War. It was so named because its core was a guild of meat traders, said to have numbered over 1,000 at the time, and was led by Simoné Le Coutrier, also known as Caboche, a cattle skinner at the Saint-Jacques slaughterhouse. At the time, the Lancastrian royal family of England was plotting to resume their invasion of France. The Valois royal family of France held the Three Estates General of Northern France to secure military funds. However, the meeting turned to debates on reforming the monarchy, which stimulated the people's desire for a commune.

百年戦争末期の1413年パリに起こった民衆蜂起。〈サンジャック屠殺場の牛の皮剝ぎ職〉カボシュCabocheことシモネ･ル･クートリエを首領とする，当時1000人を超したといわれる食肉業者組合を中核としたところからこう呼ばれる。当時，イギリスのランカスター王家はフランス侵攻再開を策していた。フランスのバロア王家は北フランス三部会を開いて，軍資金を賄おうとした。ところが会議は王政改革論議に走り，これが民衆のコミューン的志向を刺激した。
