A scholar of the Southern Song Dynasty. Born in Jian'an (Fujian Province). His courtesy name was Ji Zhong. He served as a compiler of the National History Institute and a director of the Guozhi Juan. He classified Sima Guang's Zizhi Tongjian into categories and wrote the Tongjian Chronicles (Tongjian Chronicles) in order to create a style of history that follows the events of the past, known as the Chronicles (Chronicles) style, which had a great influence on later historical writing.

南宋の学者。建安 (福建省) の人。字は機仲。国史院編修官，国子監祭酒を歴任。司馬光の『資治通鑑』を項目別に分類して『通鑑紀事本末』を著わし，事実を発生経過に従ってたどる紀事本末体と呼ばれる史体をつくり，後世の歴史叙述に大きな影響を与えた。
