Elevators are planned as vertical transportation within a building, and specifications, number of elevators, placement, and operation management methods are planned based on so-called traffic calculations, which vary depending on the characteristics of the building (such as offices, department stores, hotels, hospitals, and apartment buildings) and the degree of quality service required, as well as changes in traffic demand over time.
