…the name of a region in northern Poland that roughly corresponds to the present-day Elbląg and Olsztyn Voivodeships, and was part of East Prussia before World War II. Its former German name was Ermland. It lies in the north-flowing Wina and Paszęka river basins, and borders the Masurian Lake Region to the east.
