Pagoda

Japanese: pagode
Pagoda

...It is also sometimes considered synonymous with chaitya, which refers to an object of worship in general. The English word pagoda (French pagode, German pagode) refers to a tall tower-like religious structure in the East, especially a Burmese-style stupa. It originated from a pre-Buddhist tomb, and was once used by Jains, but because Buddhists were particularly enthusiastic about its construction and worship, it is considered to be unique to Buddhism, and there are many examples throughout Asia as the most important structure of Buddhist temples.
