Carlo Cafiero

Italian socialist. Influenced by the Paris Commune, he came into contact with Engels of the General Council of the First International in London. He was entrusted with the task of organizing the movement and returned to Italy, where he came under the influence of Bakunin while working in Naples. In 1872, he led the founding of the International Italian Union. After breaking with the General Council, he participated in the formation of the anarchist "anti-authority" International. In 1877, he advocated "propaganda of the act" and revolted against Matese with Malatesta and others. While in prison, he wrote "Articles of Capital" and contributed to the spread of Marxism.

イタリアの社会主義者。パリ･コミューンに影響され，ロンドンで第一インターナショナル総評議会のエンゲルスと接触。運動組織の任務を託され帰国，ナポリで活躍中バクーニンの影響下に入る。1872年インターナショナル･イタリア連合の創設を主導。総評議会との決裂後，アナーキズムに立つ〈反権威〉インターナショナルの結成に参画。77年〈行為の宣伝〉を唱え，マラテスタ等とマテーゼに蜂起。獄中で《資本論綱要》を著して，マルクス主義の普及に貢献。
