Iru tribe - Iruzoku

...They speak the Runyankore language, a Bantu language. They are made up of the tall Nilotic Bahima (Hima) people, who raise the Ankole cattle, famous for their long horns, and the Bailu (Iru) people, agriculturalists with Bantu physical characteristics. It is said that the legendary Batshwezi dynasty was established in the northern part of Lake Victoria in the 15th century, but it soon collapsed, and the Hinda (Ruhinda) royal family formed the Ankole (Nkole) Kingdom, which rivaled the Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom established by the Bitho royal family.
