A map that shows things in pictures, without symbolizing them. However, it is different from a bird's-eye view, which is a picture that shows an object or landscape as seen from a certain angle. From an educational point of view, it is considered appropriate to start with a bird's-eye view, then move on to a picture map in which the target object is shown in pictures on a flat map, and then to a full-fledged map in which the pictures are symbolized abstractly. Country maps and cut-out maps are called picture maps, but are not picture maps.
