〘Noun〙 In ancient times, these were supplementary ledgers attached to each of the four official documents. They were detailed ledgers necessary for the central government (the Bureau of Accounts) to check the contents of each of the four official documents. There were the Daicho (Keicho) Branch, the Tax Account Branch, and the Chocho Branch. [Seiji Yoraku (around 1002)]
