Cape Esan, located in southwest Hokkaido, at the eastern end of the Kameda Peninsula. It is a scenic spot with the Esan Cape Lighthouse and a view of Mt. Esan (618m) and the Pacific Ocean. The Minamihama Hot Springs well up on the coast. It was designated as Esan Prefectural Natural Park in 1961.
