It is called porridge made by boiling a small amount of miso and sake lees chopped into squares (Sui, Teijo Miscellany (c. 1784)) or porridge made by boiling sweet sake with mochi rice cakes, roasted chestnuts, and finely chopped rape leaves inside (Kinri Nyobo Nainaiki (1772)).
