" ※Western Affairs (1866-70)〈Fukuzawa Yukichi〉First "In the course of 1770, large-scale construction work was carried out in England to open waterways and facilitate transportation." ② To transport or send passengers or goods from one place to another as a business. 〔Nippo Jisho (1603-04)〕※The last phrase (1915)〈Mori Ogai〉"He has a ship that travels to the northern provinces and runs a transportation business." ③ An euphemism for bringing customers for gambling or visiting them to receive and exchange money. ※Love and Love (1898) by Oguri Fuyō, vol. 5 “If you combine the commission for the watch, the extra pay for the transportation , and the allowance from home.”
