...The Taishogun Studio eventually moved to a new studio in Tayabucho, Uzumasa, Kyoto (1929), and Nikkatsu acquired the Tamagawa Studio, formerly owned by Nippon Eiga Co., Ltd. in Chofu, Tokyo (1934), entering the Uzumasa-Tamagawa era. However, in 1942, due to the control imposed by the new wartime film regime, Nikkatsu was merged into Daiei (Dainippon Eiga Seisakusho Co., Ltd.), and both the Uzumasa and Tamagawa Studios became Daiei studios. Tenkatsu (Tennenshoku Kadosha Shashin Co., Ltd.), founded in 1914, began film production at its studios in Motokanasugi, Nippori, Tokyo, and Kobashi, Tsuruhashi, Osaka. ...
