Wobblies - Wobblies

…A radical labor organization formed in Chicago in 1905. Its members were called the Wobblies. The IWW was formed in 1904 by bringing together socialists and anarchists such as EV Debs, centered around the Western Federation of Miners, which had been defeated in the Cripple Creek mine strike in Colorado. It opposed the moderate American Federation of Labor (AFL) by promoting class struggle, stating in its IWW charter that "the working class and the employer class have nothing in common."
