A collection of Chinese poetry. 40 volumes with 4 supplementary volumes and 16 books. Compiled by Yuetsu in the late Qing Dynasty. Published in 1883 (the 9th year of the Guangxu era = the 16th year of the Meiji era). Yuetsu selected Chinese poetry by Japanese poets at the request of Kishida Ginko. Volumes 1-35 contain works by Chinese poets from the Edo period to the early Meiji era, volumes 36-39 contain works by Hogai (monks), and volume 40 contains works by Geishu (women). The supplementary volumes include works from Prince Otomo (Emperor Kobun) to Naka Michitaka (Gorou). The number of poets included is 550. "Toei" is another name for Japan. 漢詩集。四〇巻補遺四巻一六冊。清末の兪樾(ゆえつ)撰。一八八三年(光緒九=明治一六)刊。岸田吟香の依頼により、兪樾が日本人の漢詩を選んだもの。巻一~三五に江戸期から明治初期に至る漢詩人の作品を、巻三六~三九に方外(僧侶)、巻四〇に閨秀(女流)の作を収める。補遺には、大友皇子(弘文天皇)から那珂通高(語楼)までの作を収録。収録詩人は五五〇人。「東瀛」は日本の別名。
