Informal organization

…This is what is usually meant when we talk about an organization. In contrast, an informal organization is a social bond that is formed spontaneously through contact and interaction between individuals and has no conscious structure or system. The existence of this informal organization was discovered as a factor in increasing work efficiency and productivity in a study of workplace efficiency (Hawthorne Experiments) conducted by Fritz Jules Roethlisberger (1898- ) and others at the Hawthorne Plant of the Western Electric Company in the United States from 1924 to 1932.
