Yakut language - Yakutgo (English spelling)

Japanese: ヤクート語 - ヤクートご（英語表記）Yakut language

It is a Turkic language spoken in the Lena River basin in the Sakha Republic, Russia, apart from the others. It is quite different from other Turkic languages not only in terms of region but also in terms of language, and has peculiarities such as the retention of long vowels that are thought to have been in the Proto-Turkic language. It is famous for the research of O. Betlinck (1851). There are about 300,000 speakers. It is also spoken by the Dolgan people in northern Siberia.

チュルク諸語の一つで，他とは離れてロシア，サハ共和国のレナ川流域に話されている。地域的にのみならず，言語的にも他のチュルク語とはかなり違っており，チュルク祖語にあったと推定される長母音を保っているなどの特異点がある。 O.ベートリンクの研究 (1851) により有名。話し手約 30万人。他にシベリア北部のドルガン人も用いている。
