Activated Alumina - Caustic Alumina

A porous alumina with strong adsorption power. It is produced by heating and dehydrating aluminum hydroxide. It is used to remove moisture from gases such as air and organic solvents. The moisture content of air dehumidified by activated alumina is approximately 0.01 mg L ^-1 , making it a more powerful dehumidifier than CaCl ₂ , silica gel, etc.

多孔質で吸着力の強いアルミナ．水酸化アルミニウムを加熱脱水してつくられる．空気などの気体および有機溶剤中の水分の除去に用いられる．活性アルミナにより除湿された空気中の水分は約0.01 mg L^－1 で，CaCl₂，シリカゲルなどより強力な除湿剤である．
