Japanese: 加津佐[町] - かづさ

An old town in the southwest of the Shimabara Peninsula, Minamitakaki District, Nagasaki Prefecture. The main settlement, Suigetsu, is on a small coastal plain and is the terminus of the Shimabara Railway. Rice, potatoes, and mandarin oranges are cultivated here. It was one of the centers of early Christian culture, and there are Christian ruins nearby. In March 2006, it merged with the towns of Kuchinotsu, Minamiarima, Kitaarima, Nishiarie, Arie, Futsu, and Fukae in Minamitakaki District to become a city, Minamishimabara City. 24.37 ^km2 . 8,374 people (2003).

長崎県南高来(みなみたかき)郡，島原半島南西部の旧町。主集落水月(すいげつ)は海岸の小平野にあり，島原鉄道の終点。米，ジャガイモ，ミカンを栽培。初期キリシタン文化の一中心で，付近にはキリシタン遺跡がある。2006年３月，南高来郡口之津町，南有馬町，北有馬町，西有家町，有家町，布津町，深江町と合併し市制，南島原市となる。24.37km²。8374人（2003）。
