Ingan - wish

...The wish is broad, so it is also called Hongu Vow, or simply Guzei or Gugan. It is also called In-gan (meaning a wish made while a bodhisattva is practicing the practices that are the cause of becoming a Buddha), Shu-gan, etc. There are general vows common to all buddhas and bodhisattvas, and specific separate vows made by each buddha or bodhisattva for their own purposes.
