A port city in eastern Djibouti. Located on the northern shore of the Gulf of Tadjoura, a tributary of the Gulf of Aden. Occupied by France in 1862, it was the capital of French Somaliland from 1884 to 1992. Its main industry is fishing. It has hot springs and a domestic airport. Obok |
