Born on February 8, 1924. Won her first All Japan Championship in 1935, and went on to win five consecutive championships. In 1936, as a sixth-grade student, she competed in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen Winter Olympics, placing 10th. After competing in the World Championships in 1951, she turned professional and performed in ice shows in the United States. She later coached Miwa Fukuhara and others. Died on July 8, 2003. Age 79.
