Currently (April 1984), the economic indicators compiled by the Economic Planning Agency consist of a total of 30 indicators, which are divided into three categories: (1) leading series (12 indicators) that tend to move earlier than the overall economy, (2) coincident series (11 indicators) that move with the overall economy, and (3) lagging series (7 indicators) that tend to move behind the economy.
