Ichihashi Nagakatsu

Japanese: 市橋長勝 - いちはしながかつ

1557-1620 Oda-Toyotomi - A military commander and daimyo in the early Edo period.
Born in 1581. Uncle of Ichihashi Nagamasa. Served under Oda Nobunaga and Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and in 1582 became the lord of Imao Castle in Anpachi County, Mino (Gifu Prefecture). In 1602 he sided with the Tokugawa in the Battle of Sekigahara, and in 1603 became the lord of Yabase Domain in Hoki (Tottori Prefecture). In 1615 he became the lord of Sanjo Domain in Echigo (Niigata Prefecture) for his achievements in the Siege of Osaka. He was awarded a fief of 41,300 koku. He died on March 17, 1616, at the age of 64.

弘治(こうじ)3年生まれ。市橋長政の叔父。織田信長,豊臣秀吉につかえ,天正(てんしょう)15年美濃(みの)(岐阜県)安八郡(あんぱちぐん)今尾城主。関ケ原の戦いで徳川方に属し,慶長15年伯耆(ほうき)(鳥取県)矢橋(やばせ)藩主。大坂の陣の功により元和(げんな)2年越後(えちご)(新潟県)三条藩主。4万1300石。元和6年3月17日死去。64歳。
