Ichino Funairi

...A tributary of the Sai River that flows through the northern part of Nagano Prefecture. It originates from Mt. Yari and flows north, forming a deep gorge between the mountains of the Northern Alps, such as Mt. Mimata Renge and Mt. Noguchi Goro, and the mountains in front, such as Mt. Otensho and Mt. Tsubakuro. It changes course northeast from Fudo Falls and flows about 12 km to Azumino. From there it flows south and joins the Sai River near Oshino in Akashina Town. It is about 47 km long. The steep slope of the valley often causes floods, and in a flood on August 11, 1969, Kuzu Onsen upstream was almost completely washed away. ...

…長野県の北部を流れる犀（さい）川の支流。槍ヶ岳に源を発して北流し，三俣蓮華岳，野口五郎岳など北アルプスの奥山と大天井（おてんしよう）岳，燕（つばくろ）岳などの前山の間に深い峡谷をつくる。不動滝から流路を東北東に変え，12kmほど流れて安曇野（あずみの）に出る。ここから南流して，明科（あかしな）町押野付近で犀川に合流する。延長約47km。渓谷のこう配が急であるためしばしば水害が発生し，1969年8月11日の水害では，上流の葛（くず）温泉がほぼ完全に流失してしまった。…
