Born on September 25, 1877. He taught himself how to draw, and from 1900 he drew covers and illustrations for literary magazines such as "Myojo" and "Shinsei", which gained him a reputation. He also designed the covers of books by famous authors such as Koyo Ozaki. He passed away on August 12, 1910. He was 34 years old. He was from Nagano Prefecture.
