Hironobu Isobe

…Rice from the official fields in the Kinai region was delivered to the Isobe clan, which was used as food for the Emperor, the Empress and the Crown Prince. The Nishinomiya-ki records that a Shisho (Chronicle Master) was appointed as the custodian, but in 1002 (4th year of the Choho era), when the official Isobe Hironobu was appointed as the custodian in place of Mononobe Mitsuyasu (Chono Gunzai), the position became hereditary for the Isobe clan. After the Enkyu Restoration, rice fields were established under the Oineryō, and when the position of kuno-in offering was established, the Isobe clan also became custodians of the kuno-in, and the rice fields of Ishikawa Tojo-gun and Sabi in Kawachi Province, and the Kuri-mioen in Yamashiro Province, were passed down from generation to generation. …
