The pilgrimage routes to Ise Shrine include the Hase Kaido (an ancient road connecting Yamato, Iga, and Ise; currently National Route 165), the Ise-betsu Kaido (a road that passes through Seki and Tsu on the Tokaido and leads to Ise Shrine), and the Sangu Kaido (a road that runs from Yokkaichi Oiwake on the Tokaido to Ise Shrine).
